Responsible gambling
Ground rules that keep it a game
Money: decide the session budget before the first hand; never chase losses; never play with money needed for anything else. Time: set an end time; take breaks — at 600 hands/hour, "one more hand" is never just one. Head: don't play when upset, tired or under the influence; variance punishes tilt. The drought math is worth internalizing: long losing stretches are geometry, not a sign your luck is "due".
Warning signs
Hiding play or losses from people close to you · gambling with money set aside for bills · chasing losses with bigger bets · feeling restless or irritable when not playing · borrowing to play. Any one of these is a reason to pause and talk to someone.
